The Arrma Vendetta is an awesome looking road racer that is capable of reaching speeds of 70 miles per hour. If you enjoy high-speed runs and drag racing, the Vendetta is the perfect car for your collection. Out of the box, the Arrma Vendetta can reach speeds of 60 miles per hour, making it one of the fastest on the market. To hit the 70 mile per hour mark, all you need to do is install the high speed pinion gear that comes with the car. In this blog post, we will take a closer look at this amazing vehicle and find out exactly how fast is the Arrma Vendetta. Stay tuned!
Introducing the Vendetta RC car from Arrma
The Arrma Vendetta is a high performance remote controlled car that I consider a hobby grade vehicle. It has a sleek body design and powerful 3S brushless motor. The Vendetta is capable of reaching speeds of up to 60 mph (out of the box) and can achieve even higher speeds if you install the included high-speed pinion gear.
The car comes with a 2.4 GHz radio system that has Spektrum Active Vehicle Control included. The car is equipped with large road tires that help provide traction on paved surfaces.
The Vendetta is ready to run right out of the box. All you need to do is charge the battery and you’re ready for high speed runs and maybe even some sick donuts.
You will need to buy a battery and charger. That is probably the only downside to this car. But, with most hobby grade vehicles, you will need to buy a batter and charger. So, Arrma is in line with the rest of the industry when it comes to batteries and chargers.
- Spektrum ESC and motor is reliable and fast
- ESC fan included
- Suspension is adjustable
- Battery tray uses Velcro strap
- Body clips are attached to the body
- Need lots of room to reach max speed
- Car sits low to the ground
- Clips can be tough to lock
Out of the Box Speed Reviews
The Arrma Vendetta is a fantastic car that is easy to drive. To reach speeds of 60+ miles per hour, you need a flat paved surface and at least 500 feet (or more) of open space.
I have driven my Vendetta on cracked concrete and have scrapped the bottom of the chassis if the cracked concrete section was poking up too high. So, a flat surface is really important if you want to run full-throttle.
You don’t need a completely flat surface to drive the car, but be careful if there are any uneven section of road way or loose gravel.
How To Get The Arrma Vendetta to 70 MPH
The car comes with an optional high-speed pinion gear that must be installed to reach the 70 MPH top speed. You will need the right tool kit to take the motor apart and getting the right mesh between the pinion and spur gear takes practice.
You also must install a fully charged 3S LiPo battery to reach the 70 MPH mark. A 3S LiPo will run the car at 11.1 volted compared to 7.4 volts a 2S battery provides. So, the 3S LiPo is required to get that extra voltage needed to reach the Vendettas max speeds.
The Fastest RCs in the Market Today: Compared
The Arrma Vendetta is probably in the top 10 of the fastest models available today. With its powerful brushless 3S motor, it is capable of reaching a top speed of up to 70+ mph.
Here are the speeds of other popular RC models in the market:
- Traxxas XO-1: 100+ mph
- Arrma Typhon BLX RC Car: 70+ mph
- Traxxas Rustler: 65+ mph
If you are trying to reach speeds even higher than 70 miles per hour, you could look into installing a 4S or even 6S motor. There may not be enough room for a larger motor in the Vendetta, so make sure to look at the manual and measure the space available. If you are really looking for speeds above 70 MPH, the Arrma Limitless V2 may be a better fit. It has been clocked at over 150 miles per hour.

Top Features of the Arrma Vendetta : Under The Hood
The ARRMA VENDETTA 4X4 3S BLX is a 1/8 scale road racer. It comes ready-to-run and is designed for drivers with intermediate experience. All you need to purchase to get the car running is a 3S LiPo battery and charger.
The chassis is made of a strong composite plastic and is equipped with front and rear sway bars.
The shocks are adjustable and oil-filled. I found the suspension to be a little bit loose out of the box, and I cranked the shocks down about ten turns on the front and seven turns on the back.
Arrma did a great job making this vehicle aerodynamic. The body has a fin that runs down the back half of the vehicle and into the car’s massive rear wing. The body design help produce down force to keep the car glued to the pavement. I have not had any trouble with the car flipping over at high speeds. It feels very solid at max speeds.
The car is powered by the Spektrum Firma 3660 3900Kv brushless motor and Spektrum ESC. The motor paired with the high-speed pinion allows the car to reach speeds of up to 70 mph+ in optimal conditions.
Finally, the wheels are wrapped with dBoots Hoons Elevens vented all-road tires. The feel soft to the touch, but still can break loose if you want to spin donuts.
I don’t recommend sliding this car around too much, because the tire tread will wear out quickly.
You can get a set of drifting tires if you want to drift this car. The very powerful Spektrum motor will break the rear wheels loose with no problem.
Should You Buy the Arrma Vendetta?
The Arrma Vendetta was built for high speed runs, drag racing, and road racing. It is a large vehicle, so you will need plenty of room to drive this car.
The Spektrum motor, a fully charged LiPo battery, and the optional high-speed pinion gear will get the car to a max speed of 70+ MPH.
The car’s stability and handling make it suitable for high-speed bashing on paved surfaces. The dBoots Hoons Elevens vented tires provide great traction on asphalt and paved concrete.
If you are a beginner, this would make an appropriate first RC car, but make sure to set the throttle limit to 50% while you learn how to drive this car. If you crash this car at 60 miles per hour, you will probably break a shock tower or bend an axel. So, take it slow until you get a good feel for the cars throttle and steering.
If you are planning drive on rocky terrain or dirt, the Vendetta might not be a good choice for you. It has a low ground clearance and the road tires are not the best for driving off road.
My advice would be to get the Vendetta if you want to drive on pavement. If you want to drive off Road, get something like the Arrma Typhon or Arrma Senton.
Overall, the Arrma Vendetta is a great choice for intermediate RC drivers looking to reach high speeds and drive on smooth paved surfaces. If you are confident in your driving ability and willing to take the risks associated with high-speed racing, then this car is a great choice. Remember, you can always limit the throttle to 50% by flipping a switch on the included radio transmitter.
Cost and Other Considerations
The Arrma Vendetta is available for an MSRP of $369, but you may find it lower price on Amazon.
It also requires some additional accessories such as LiPo batteries, chargers, and double A batteries for the transmitter.
For max speeds, you will need to purchase a 3S Lipo Battery, with a discharge rate of at least 50C. A 3S battery pack can cost somewhere between $50 to $200. This Zeee 5200mAh 80C LiPo would work great and should connect up to the Spektrum ESC.
Additionally, the high-speed pinion gear is required to hit max speeds. Its not hard to change out, but it will take about 20 or 30 minutes to install. You also need a tool kit with the right size hex heads.
