In a move that has enthusiasts buzzing, Tamiya has lifted the veil on its innovative Squash Van, a remarkable addition to its off-road vehicle lineup. The new offering fuses iconic design elements from Tamiya’s Midnight Pumpkin model with an advanced GF-02 chassis.
Meet the Squash Van
The company has proudly introduced its latest off-road marvel, designed for top performance across a variety of terrains. Paying homage to the classic American panel vans of the 1950s, the Squash Van is equipped with 123mm large-diameter lug pattern tires, ensuring superior handling and outstanding performance, even on grass or rough surfaces.
Adding to its appeal are aesthetic details that include an array of specially designed stickers. These feature squash illustrations along with product logos and tasteful triple pin stripes in gold, black, and blue. For the mechanically inclined, the package comes complete with an Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) and a 540 brushed motor.
Anatomy of the GF-02 Chassis
The GF-02 chassis is a revelation in itself, boasting gear-driven 4WD technology. Placing the motor in a low and central position within a lightweight, yet durable, monocoque frame, this chassis ensures smooth power transmission to both front and rear wheels.
